Red Rock + Stilettos = Family Fun

First of all I have been so swamped since this past December that I have not been on top of my blogging like I use to be.  With that, I've had a few shoots slip through the cracks and not get posted on my blog, but I did post them on alimcghie.com's facebook page. So some of these posts are from shoots I did in December but didn't get a chance to post.

Better late than never though right?  (this is where you all shake your heads yes and smile)

So this post contains four gorgeous women, Red Rock Canyon, and Stilettos.

My good friend Taylor contacted me in December about doing a family portrait of her mother and her two sisters.  They all chose for it to be out at Red Rock Canyon, and I was definitely stoked because I had not had the opportunity to photograph out there yet, plus sadly, for as long as I have lived in Vegas...I had never even been out to Red Rock.

Well all I can say is wow.  Red Rock is beyond gorgeous and very rustic.  I love rustic scenery, especially for photographs. It made it even better that I was photographing such a lovely group of women.  These ladies were absolutely awesome to work with.  They were all so out going and the bond they all share is full of love and fun.  It is so nice to see such wonderful relationships amongst mother's and daughter's, and sister's as well.  The three sister's in the shoot reminded me of the relationship I have with my two sister's.  It's a very unique close bond that I personally don't tend to see that often.  So it is very refreshing and fun to be able to relate with them.

I enjoyed watching these ladies conquer the rocks and climb in their stilettos.  I think one of the highlights of this shoot was one of the daughters, Stephanie, was climbing down this large white rock and a tourist saw her and her heels and said, "Wow I think you chose the wrong shoes to hike in."  Of course Steph was polite and smiled.  But we all looked at each other like, "Really Lady...you think I chose these to hike in?" ha ha We all laughed about it the rest of the time.

Another highlight was in one of the shots we did I had the four of them stand off to the side of the road, and as we were doing so a line of cars started to form and slowly drive by as if we were a show.  I think so people may have thought we broke down, and others were just curious.  Entertaining for sure.
I just want to say thank you to Linda, Stephanie, Taylor and Alyssa for being such wonderful fun clients to work with.  You four woman are so gorgeous and have such a beautiful bond.  I look forward to working with you all in the future.
